When we started business in 2016, we knew water trucks would be an important part of our business.
New water trucks are incredibly expensive and seasonality makes new trucks too expensive for a rental fleet.
We began purchasing pre-emissions water trucks (2007 and older) from southwest United States.
In warmer climates water is often left in tanks year-round which leads to heavy wear and rusting.
We soon found water truck builders who buy used chassis and install new tanks and water systems.
However, these trucks need investment and repairs to make the chassis mechanically sound.
We acquire these new-tank trucks and our talented mechanics thoroughly inspect, test, service and repair.
We also add a battery kill switch and ¼ turn valves to drain the water system
We price the trucks based on our acquisition and capital investment costs to make it sales worthy.
The first year we own a truck it will often have a negative return in which costs are more than rent collected.
Typically, around year 3, trucks are valued at a price that makes sense for us to sell and contractors to buy.
At this point, the pre-emissions truck is in good working condition with a 3-year-old tank and water system.
It has also been drained for half of each year which reduced the wear and tear on the tank and water system.
The truck has also been rented out to contractors who notify us if there are any issues and we repair them.
We are so confident in our water trucks we offer up to 6-month rental purchase option program.
RPOs offer renting with the option of applying a percentage of the rent toward purchasing
VTE is responsible for repairs during RPO duration except those caused by operator error/abuse.
We are happy to provide a detailed current inventory list for your review.
